The Art of Brunch

By: Lauren Saylor, A Fabulous Fete

There's been a bit of a shift in the way we entertain these days. With calendars filling up daily, we're all just trying to find a second to sit down with loved ones, enjoy delicious food, company and maybe a cocktail. One of the biggest trends that has emerged is the art of brunching. It's quick and it's in the morning (leaving the rest of the day to tackle your to-do's), but it's just as delicious and fulfilling as a longer, more leisurely meal! Inspired by the dreamy fragrance of Caldrea's Rosewater Driftwood, we've crafted up a simple table that would be a beautiful backdrop for your next brunch date.

Start at the base of your design, with some driftwood pieces down the center. Begin to fill all of the nooks and crannies with bud vases filled with fragrant roses and add texture with different vines and branches. Chamomile, gardenias and marigolds would also make gorgeous additions to fill in your centerpiece.

Mimosas are always a good idea for brunch. You can go classic with orange juice or mix it up with cranberry, pomegranate or any fruit you and your guests enjoy.

Set on a bed of greens, smoked salmon breakfast sandwiches are served on a cedar plank inspired by one of the main notes found in the Rosewater Driftwood fragrance.

Smoked Salmon Breakfast Sandwiches

  • Biscuits or English muffins
  • Butter
  • Smoked salmon
  • Feta
  • Arugula
  • Fried egg (optional)

Coat bread with butter, top with smoked salmon followed by feta and broil in your oven for 3-5 minutes or until cheese begins to turn golden brown. Top with salt, pepper and fried egg, if desired. Serve on a bed of greens.

All of these components together will create a luxurious atmosphere with a touch of woodsy elegance for your guests enjoy. How would you incorporate notes from the Rosewater Driftwood fragrance into your table?
